DBA are used for the production of agricultural chemicals (e.g. carbosulfan) and for the production of rubber chemicals (e.g. di-n-butylthiocarbamate thiuram). Other applications are the production of dibutylethanolamine, a chemical used in coatings and paints; tetrabutylurea, a solvent used in some hydrogen peroxide processes, and the production of catalysts and corrosion inhibitors. DBA is also used to produce dibutyl thiocarbamates which are employed as accelerators in the rubber chemical industries. DBA is a key intermediate in the synthesis of the carbosulfan insecticide. DBA is also used as a corrosion inhibitor, and as an intermediate/catalyst in pharmaceutical, plastics, resins and insecticides markets.
Metal pail, net wt 150kg.
DBA has shelf life of 24 months in unopened, original container. Protect DBA from fire, static discharges, acids and acid forming substances.
